16 Year Old 'Old & Rare' American Oak Second-Fill Single Cask TD0066 was filled in December of 2005 and decanted in August of 2022 for a maturation of 16 years, 5 months. After such a long maturation, this 300L American oak cask, previously used to mature an older batch of Sullivans Cove single malt, yielded only 406 bottles at 47% ABV.

Old & Rare Second-Fill American Oak single casks have been matured for a minimum of sixteen years in a cask made from American oak, that has previously matured Sullivans Cove whisky. Second-fill casks allow for long-term maturation without being overtaken by the influence of oak or pre-fill. The result is a whisky of perfect balance: signature spirit character harmonises seamlessly with the soft oak profile, allowing the fruity esters from the copper Alembic still, Myrtle, to shine through. In addition to the notes of bright fruit, confectionary and coconut, these whiskies exhibit a depth and refinement that can only come from age.
