Whisky Angels do exist

Pictured: Josh Walker

Whisky Distiller Josh Walker of Timboon Railway Shed Distillery - Victoria helps a farmer in Mendooran Central New South Wales by donating and organising several semi-trailers of hay.

Whilst on a recent business trip Josh overheard a conversation between two colleagues discussing the plight of one of their friends who owns a cattle farm in Mendooran, NSW. The farmer had unfortunately found himself in the desperate situation of having to sell his cattle as he was no longer able to afford the exorbitant prices to buy feed for them.

Whilst both are small towns, Mendooran is located in drought stricken Central NSW and Timboon is located South West of Melbourne via The Great Ocean Road where hay is plentiful.

Josh rallied the local Timboon community and his cousin who owns a semi-trailer transport business. Together they were able to organise several convoys of hay to be delivered to the farmer up in Mendooran. He has now been given a temporary reprieve from having to sell his cattle as he now has enough feed to get him through the next few months while we pray for rain in the meantime.

It is wonderful to see a young entrepreneur making a difference.

YOU HAVE TWO HANDS.

ONE TO HELP YOURSELF,

THE SECOND TO HELP OTHERS

Thank you to Josh Walker and the town of Timboon for their generosity and compassion. It has taken many hands to pull this together for a very appreciative farmer.
