International Women’s Day 2022 Across Australia

International Women’s Day is on 8th March this year and to celebrate we will be having a cocktail degustation at Bloodwood restaurant in Newtown, NSW on Sunday 13th March. The day will feature a menu that is bold, packed with flavour and inspired by the spirits and cocktails that we will be tasting, created by Bloodwood's Claire Van Vuuren and her team Sarina Fang, Deanne Paramaxidis and Jessica. While enjoying your meal you will also hear from 5 fabulous Australian Distillers who will speak about their experience in the industry.

Our lineup of speakers will include:

  1. Sam Stefani | Distiller - Banks & Solander (NSW)

  2. Susannah Robinson | Distiller - 'Brookies' Cape Byron Distillery (NSW)

  3. Ruby Lewis | Distiller - Grainshaker (VIC)

  4. Jess Hodge | Distiller - Never Never Distilling Co. (SA)

  5. Nicole Durdin | Distiller & Owner - Seppeltsfield Road Distillers (SA)

If you are stuck in another state and sadly cannot join us, fear not! We have made a list of other International Women’s Day events going on around the country.

Victoria – Celebrate at Anther Distillery

This year's International Women's Day focus is 'Break the Bias' and Anther Distillery is hosting an event to help illuminate how we can achieve this TOGETHER! Join a panel of women from the media industry breaking the barriers set against them and how we can disrupt the negative bias of how women are portrayed in the media. The panel is hosted by Dr Dervilla McGowan, co-owner and internationally awarded distiller of Anther Distillery.

As women in Australian receive an average weekly wage that is on *average 14.2% less than males, and so, Anther Distillery is offering a ‘wage gap’ discount for people who identify as women. Use code 'WAGEGAP' for special price.

*The wage gap was 13.4% in 2021 up – 0.8 p.p
